Discarded Hubcaps Transformed Into Animal Sculptures


Bob Dylan said, “Inspiration is hard to come by. You have to take it where you find it.” In the case of artist Ptolemy Elrington of Brighton, England, he found his inspiration discarded by the side of the road.

Taking hubcaps that had been gainfully employed to sit pretty on a tire, only to fall off somewhere along the way, Elrington gives them new life as industrial, yet whimsical, looking animal sculptures. Not only are the designs dynamic to look at, they’re eco-conscious as well.
